The Runway (r)Evolution

The virtual celebrity model Rozy, a.k.a. Rozy.gram, was at the heart of two galvanizing fashion shows.

Locus-X, the virtual influencer management company, presented a hypnotic duo of digital collections. The first one, OHROZY, was available on DRESSX.com, a multi-brand digital fashion clothing retailer. The second one was a collaboration with Ilona Song. a visionary designer known for mixing digital fashion and blockchain technology Valaclava, a cyberpunk phygital fashion brand, showcased their latest collection, with Rozy.gram being a model and an ambassador of the cutting-edge technological breakthrough.

Preserving Heritage in the Metaverse

Can Web3 protect traditional fashion designs and craftsmanship? That’s an interesting – and pleasantly unexpected – take on the impact of avant-garde technologies on the fashion industry. Olga Chernysheva (DRESSX), Olivier Moingeon (Exclusible), Shayli Harrison (MUTANI), Alissa Aulbekova and Paula Sello (AUROBOROS), and Amber Jae Slooten (The Fabricant) had a thought-provoking discussion about this.

Highlights of that conversation were: tokenization of fashion and building an easily accessible digital archive of designs via NFTs; ethical implications of digital clothing mass adoption and the inevitable development of guidelines to address those; phygital reality in metaverse as a shared, immersive experience translated into full-mode creator economy, self-expression through digital identity and unique collaborations between digital designers and traditional (heritage) brands bringing historical fashion items from museums into the virtual world.

A Night to Remember

Fashion After Dark: Exclusible Evening Soirée marked the beginning of a glamorous celebration. The two-hour event on Spatial invited attendees to explore the unique Exclusible x Polycount Web3 Couture space. Live DJ music expanded the festive ambience.

MVFW 23 propelled the future of fashion into the digital world while showcasing the untapped potential of phygital collaborations. Exclusible, Spatial, and Polycount created experiences which are set to unlock new possibilities for the fashion industry, making this journey both innovative and exciting to follow.
